Dr. David Oppenheim, Certified Mohel

About Dr. Oppenheim

Dr. Oppenheim grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana in a deeply committed and traditionally observant Jewish household. His strong Jewish identity was further fostered by his attendance at Hebrew school and Sunday school, both extended through the high school years, and by summers spent at Jewish camps (Ramah in Wisconsin and Goldman Union Camp in Zionsville, IN). Having been involved in many facets of the Jewish community since childhood his decision to become a certified mohel was a natural process.

Dr. Oppenheim completed his undergraduate degree at Indiana University and he continued at Indiana University School of Medicine through his pediatric residency at IU Riley Hospital for Children. After becoming a pediatrician he joined a practice in downtown Chicago in 1997. In 2000 he decided to open his own pediatrics practice and founded Premier Pediatrics. He now has 1 partner and an associate pediatrician working with him at their offices in Lincolnshire and Gurnee, IL. Since 2006 Dr. Oppenheim has served as chairman of the department of pediatrics at Condell Medical Center.

Dr. Oppenheim lives in Vernon Hills with his wife Karen and their daughters Hannah and Maya. He enjoys spending time with his family, listening to music and working with computers. He also enjoys the company of friends at his bowling league but not his scores.
